This is our 20th year of having our Annual Egg Hunt and to celebrate we have made some changes on how the hunts will be conducted this year. Please read through the information below so you are aware of all the details.

VERY IMPORTANT - CHECKING IN THE DAY OF THE EVENT TAKES TIME SO PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR HUNT TIME. PRINTING OUT YOUR TICKETS WILL BE BENEFICIAL, IF YOU CAN. AS WE ARE GOING TO TRY TO SCAN THE CODES THIS YEAR!

How it works:

Who can hunt? NEW for 2026 - please read!

Kid's Hunt

These two hunts are for ages 17 and under only. You only need to register those in this age group, but adults may help younger children hunt. There will be 1,000 raw gourd eggs (they will not be dyed this year) in different sizes along with 20 prize eggs in each hunt. All participants will be limited to 5 gourd eggs and if you’re lucky, 1 prize gourd egg. Please be courteous to your fellow hunters and only keep the allowable number of eggs.  You must register each person who wishes to hunt and keep eggs. Those that are just helping do not need to pay the fee. Take all prize eggs to the check-in tent for the Kid's Egg Hunt to receive your prizes.

After you find your eggs and collect any prizes, you can take your eggs into our classroom beside the gift shop and paint them for $1.00 each.

Adult Hunt

We will also be having an adult hunt, but you do not need to register. 50 "cracked" raw eggs will be hidden amongst the art vendors booths, the gift shop and Oops sale. If you happen to find one, do not open or crack! Take your egg to the check-in tent for the egg hunts to see what prize you won. Any eggs cracked before getting to the check-in tent will be voided.

Registering:

Please register your entire group under one name. When the box comes up to give individual names, click the box so that the purchaser's name fills all the tickets. This will make check in a lot easier and faster.

Cost?

We will be collecting a donation of $5.00 (plus fees) per person to participate in our egg hunt. This donation is nonrefundable and $5.00 of each ticket will be donated to the Paw Pack Program for Big Spring School District. When you check in for the Egg hunt, you will receive a $5.00 coupon to use towards a purchase of $25.00 or more in our retail store valid only on the day of egg hunt.

Other ways to help community:

We will also be collecting canned and non-perishable food to donate to Paws Pack. Paws Pack is an organization that distributes food to children in the Big Spring School District whose family may be having a hard time right now. If you feel so inclined to donate, you can hand them in at the tent you sign in at.

FAQs:

*Is the hunt pet friendly?

No. We ask that you do not bring any furry friends to our events because of the number of people who will be attending.

*When should I arrive to check in?

Please plan on arriving at least a 1/2 hour to check in and then you will be able to find a great spot around the field to begin your hunt.

*What do the eggs look like?

There will be samples at the check in table of what the regular eggs and the prize eggs look like. The prize eggs will be painted gold.

*If I want to help my child look for eggs but do not want to collect any, must I register?

No, only those 17 years old and younger that want to keep and hunt for eggs must register and pay the fee.

*If I miss my egg hunt, can I get in another one?

No, we have only a certain number of regular eggs and prize eggs in each hunt which is for 200 people. It would not be fair to those that registered to add extra people to hunts.

*Can I get a refund?

No. Egg Hunt tickets are non-refundable, and they are also not allowed to be resold.
